5 Las Vegas Bars with Great Views of the City

Most nightclubs and bars in Las Vegas are for people who want to be seen while they party the night away. They are enclosed, sometimes cavernous spaces.

But there are a few nightlife options that offer stunning views of the city, as well.  These five are at least 50 floors up, making them not the best choice for those afraid of heights.

The rest of you will love these, though.

The View from the Ghostbar Balcony

Ghostbar at The Palms Resort

Located on the 55th floor of the original Palms Resort tower, this venue not only has floor to ceiling windows, but you can step out onto a terrace and take in some fresh air while admiring views of The Rio (across the street) and the Strip just beyond that.

For the truly brave, the balcony has a section of thick plexiglass inserted into the floor that allows you to stand on it and look straight down at the cars below.  Most people I saw were going out of their way not to step on it.

A Bathroom Stall at Mix

This lounge (and attached restaurant) have huge windows, offering views of the Strip to the north, including the Luxor next door, or you can step out onto the 64th floor balcony for an unobstructed view.

As if that’s not enough, the bathroom stalls have floor to ceiling windows, so you can enjoy the view while you, um, take care of business.

The View Behind the Bar at Moon Nightclub

Also at The Palms, this venue tops the Fantasy Tower, and the view from the bar is stunning, as you can see from the photo. They also have an outdoor terrace for unobstructed views. On select nights, they even open up the retractable roof so the whole club is outdoors.

Like Mix, Moon’s bathroom stalls also offer floor to ceiling windows with great views from your seat.  The 60′s retro sci-fi decor is pretty cool, too.

Rumor has it the Jersey Shore’s DJ Pauly D may be spinning here soon.

A Tower View of the Strip at Level 107

Level 107 Lounge at the Stratosphere

While the windows are a bit smaller, the view is no less impressive than the other nightlife options in this post. That’s because this lounge sits on the 107th level of the Stratosphere Tower.

If you look straight out, the Strip views are stunning. But if you look down, it won’t be just the drinks making you feel lightheaded. My roommate wouldn’t even go near enough to the window to get a ground view.

The Two-Level VooDoo Lounge at The Rio

VooDoo Lounge Rooftop Nightclub at The Rio

As the name implies, you’ll find this club 51 stories up on the roof, and the outdoor two-level terrace offers amazing views of the Strip to the east. I have to admit the view from the staircase kind of freaked me out the first time, and I don’t even have vertigo.

As a bonus, if the music inside the club doesn’t appeal to you, there is a separate DJ spinning outside. It’s a great place to watch 4th of July fireworks, too.
